too slow?
yeah. so my idea of slowing down was stopping all together and watching the whole first season of arrested development on dvd with david over the weekend. i think mama urchin & sarah yost hit the nail on the head. i did get a robot tshirt stenciled for a little friend that turned out great! i always think my stecils are so simple but then end up ironing on tiny little peices individually. but hey, i took my time and it is fantastic. now to get the other one done! eep! and today i took some time to enjoy the sun and pretend it was a whole hell of a lot warmer than it really is. 8 degrees is not an acceptable temperature in my book. ever.
ok, no weather talk. i do have a question for you, i am trying to come up with a small, easy valentines day craft that isnt too girly. im hosting the valentines party for eliot's kindergarten class and i didnt want the boys to be up to their ears in pink and red hearts. the majority of the time is going to be spent decorating their own cupcakes, and idea i stole from the chicken. thanks amy! i am amassing large collection of tube icings and sprinkles. anyway, ideas?

arrested development is my kind of slow.
valentine party: how about a craft that they can make and then give as a gift to someone they love (mom or dad). shrinky-dink key chains? tissue paper flowers? (i'm trying to think of things that don't involve paint or glue for your sake).
beautiful photo miss hannah.
i say bring in the polaroid for valentine card making. (if only film wasn't so expensive) xo
what about hearts for the girls and arrows for the boys, create a garland and alternate the paper cut outs, hang round the classroom.
What about these cute paper topiaries from Heather Bailey:

Too hard for them, maybe? You could cut out all the circles yourself and score them first I guess, but that would be a lot of work. Sorry, this was probably not at all helpful! ;)
ps Arrested Development ROCKS! That show is just too funny.
there's a good list of ideas for cards at familyfun.com (you could easily make the guppy one in blues and greens, and there's an alien one) and at marthasteart.com in the crafts for kids section, she has a cute heart card that folds into it's own envelope, and it looks super easy. Best of luck!

OMG I was trying to figure out what happened to me and you just completely nailed it. I've fallen and I can't get up. I'll just lay here on the floor and watch The Parent Trap for the 14th time and like it.
