testing...
so i made apple butter for the first time in my life. um. it is awesome. which is good, because i have memories of not really liking apple butter, but i cant get enough of this stuff. i decided it would be a good idea to do a test run before actually making some for gifts. i enlisted a few testers and i think i am getting a thumbs up from everyone. i see more of this in my future. which is a good thing because it makes the whole house smell good. the recipe comes from a link from orangette. that molly. i mean come on. did you know she is writing a book?? yes, save your pennies now.

wish i were closer...i am a good tester.
From the photo and your description, I'd give it a thumbs up, too. Looks delicious! see you, g
yummy! i made apple butter for the first time earlier this fall, and it was sooo good. maybe i'll go crack a new jar open right now...
beyond awesome. so, so good! anytime you need a tester, hannah, give me a shout.
i think you need to bring some tonight so i can test it.
Can I please have the other half??? :)
oh hannah, that looks devine! you are such an awesome wife/mom. i'll bet your family loved it. that's such a super gift idea! i think i'm going to make baked goods for gifts this year because i don't have time for more sewing. i'm thinking lena's pumkin cranberry bread. food type gifts are seriously the best, aren't they?
I must comment on the beautiful paper towel design your toast with apple butter sits on! The artist, Delanie Jenkins, in Pittsburgh, has elevated the basic towel to a piece of quiet, illuminating beauty.
Hm. am I doing this justice? www.delaniejenkins.com her site will do her justice. Yes, I'm her friend, but your apple butter and the dress and your funny comment on All Buttoned Up led me to want to introduce you to delanie and The Paper Towel.
I adore coverlets, and, if you look at them, you will notice the paper towels are inspired by coverlet designs. All very cool.
And, yes, the math works for the movie watching.
Thank you for paying it forward.Ilove apple butter and this actually looks like something I could do without burning down the kitchen.
