love/hate
kansas city. what are you doing to me? yes, the ice is beautiful and i love it. love it from the comfort of my living room. i hate it as i creep to work in the morning and then creep back later. and i pretty much hate cold weather in general. nothing new there of course. but i dont want to be a hater. so i will take those two bags of apples i have waiting and make them into the delicious butter. and while that is bubbling away for hours, i will take my hot chocolate and attack that stack of eight inch squares of fabric and batting and get those gifts under my belt. this of course after i watch the incredibles while snuggling on a love seat built for two, with three small ones, one big one and two down throws. im not sure how, but believe me, the math all works out there. stay warm and safe if you live in an iceland too. and even if you dont.

the love seat part sounds wonderful.
the math totally works.
stay safe & warm.
I LOVE ice storms! They are so so beautiful. Everything coated and everything quiet.
Blink once, and it will be spring:)
xoxo
that's some good math. enjoy.
i totally get the love/hate thing. sounds like you have a good plan to wallow in the love and not the hate. stay cozy.
ah, great photo. and yes, i was so excited for a snow day...only to find out that it was 1 degree above freezing, thus making the roads perfectly fine. stupid 33 degrees.
Sometimes I'm a hater too. Especially when there is cold involved.
I know it is supposed to be summer here, but it is cold and grey. Yuck.
you stay warm and safe too - we saw footage of the ice on the news here last night and I showed matthew your photos as we'd never seen anything like it before!
love love love that picture!
prettiest new banner, so lovely and frigid. merry christmas friend.
I love the cold, but here in California there is no such thing. Not in Southern California at least. I would love to have one of the days you just described. It sounds lovely.
sweet post and i love that photo.
