self portrait tuesday
there it is, the 20 week belly. and my first official self portrait. it is hard to believe that i am halfway done. i hope the next 20 go by as fast because i am starting to remember why i loathe being pregnant. david said he was going to open up the name game to the internet, but he is taking a break because all his faculties are currently diverted to a new script. so to recap, we are having another girl. our sons name is eliot david and our daughters name is collette olivia. we have been playing this with our friends for a few weeks now. some of my favorites: wren, elanor, penelope, and hazel. some of davids: jane, elise, emma and anna. comment at will, except you clark.

how about zoe or chloe or mora...
Hazel was our girls name for Ezra!! Love it. And I've always like Jane. So pretty. Halfway there--hooray!
I love Wren, so pretty! Just to let you know, Emma is by far one of the most popular girl's names these days. Might be easier when calling her on the playground to use something different. Speaking as one of the 50 million girls named Katie in the mid 70's.
I'm loving Wren too. :)
i can't believe you are halfway there! so crazy! it seems like yesterday when i inquired on the porch swing. i especially love hazel, wren, & jane. other names of note, macy, mable, elsie, leona. i guess i'm a sucker for grandma names.
Clark!
as soon as we reveal our name, you can have all our rejects. but i will say i love jane.

I see your elbows are as bony as ever, by the way.
Nice to see a tiny tummy on you. I love Elanor and Anna. I would agree on not using Emma, unless you want her to be called Emma H.
i agree. emma is too popular but it somehow keeps making the list. anna isn't really on the list either, because it's too close to hannah. the one she missed is mariella, which is kind of long but i'm keeping it in the running because it goes well with huffman.
i do like:
wren, elanor, hazel, jane, elise and emma.
i also like:
ada, cate, chelsea, devon, eden, emily, erin, esther, fiona, gwen, gwyneth, haley, julia, lucy, maven, murren, nia, and tegan.
i love the naming process. i actually got to participate in an african baby naming ceremony whilst in ireland this spring (yes, african ceremony in ireland). quite a lovely experience.
The name that I've wanted to call my daughter (no kids yet) since I was 12: Kaya. Then I went and married a man with the last name King... Say it out loud if you don't get it. Hint: it's a sport. Needless to say, it's a beautiful name and you are welcome to it!
