this is swimmy. actually this is swimmy II, the first swimmy was found on the floor one morning as a dried up piece of beta jerky after collette scooped him out of his bowl some time in the night. poor swimmy. swimmy II lives up high on a bookshelf now. he is much safer. so far swimmy II is our only pet, but eliot has taken to asking for a dog lately. i have been able to hold him off with the "our house is too small for five people, we cant have a dog too, maybe someday when we get a bigger house" excuse. i wonder how long that will last?
thank you julie for this week of color, it has been fun to look around the house and see what everyone else has shared. have a great weekend all. i heard the forecast on the radio say that kc is supposed to get flurries and slushy snow tonight. stupid. just stupid. i wish i was sitting here sharing a cup of tea with tracy. someday t?

hannah put the forecast even better last night:
100% chance of mess.
if you guys get really desperate you could always pitch your own reality series...
family of five in cute two bedroom, gets custody of fun-loving but mischievous hound dog somewhere in middle america where it just won't stop snowing.
there's sex (presumably), death and carnage (clearly, just ask swimmy), and loads of playful banter.
hello there swimmy II. beautiful red tail you've got. sorry about the snow. we will be getting rain and much cooler temps this weekend. xo
shoot, i didn't eliot wanted a dog. we can just loan debo out to you guys for a few days at a time.
how about we loan you eliot?
i would love that. l.o.v.e. (and swimming could hang with spot)
though melissa's idea does have a ring to it...
sending you some socal sunshine xo
Swimmy II has a beautiful tail! My friend's daughter's goldfish died one day and they managed to replace it without their daughter realising - even though it was a completely different colour!!
I hope the snow isn't too bad. We are hoping that the sea haar disappears here so we have sun - it's not usual for it to be 68 degrees in Scotland in April and we are looking forward to a picnic at Elcho Castle!! Hope the fog disappears!!
Hannah, I have had so much fun looking forward to your colors each day! What fun! I doubt I will get much of a response, but I have decided to post the same challenge on my myspace...a group of friends there that might actually do this. Your pictures have been perfect!
great color week. that fish makes me smile. x
