self portrait tuesday - personal history
this is by far my most favorite picture of my childhood. i love everything about it. i love that my grandma is reading a smithsonian in one of her summer "mumus". i love that pickles the dog and sam the cat are under the chair enjoying some nice weather. i love that my summer outfit consists of a tshirt, socks and sandals. who needs pants? certainly not a three year old. more than anything this picture has always captured what i feel is the essence of curiosity. looking at this picture makes me hope that i never lose my sense of curiosity as an adult. that we all retain some element of childlike wonder about the world around us.

So, if we see you walking around without any pants, does this mean you are 'being curious' again?
what do you mean again? im curious all the time...
This photo is like the cover of a fantastic book. I love everything about it! Fantastic!
I so love this photo. Every aspect.
I might start wearing that as MY summer outfit.
Wonderful photo! BTW, I've really been enjoying your SPT entries this month. Thanks so much for sharing all your family history.
fantastic photo! i love all the details too - snapshots have so much more to say than a posed shot...
That's a fantastic photograph. As a mother of two children, I feel I am allowed to say that I love babies bottoms - please no odd comments about that.
THAT is a perfect picture. How wonderful! I love all the details, it took me a while of looking to see them all. Were you being potty trained? Or just loving the wonder that is no pants?
Oh, such sweetness! I find it so refreshing that there are other people in the world who see nothing wrong with kids running around half naked (or naked). Sadly, I have a neighbor who doesn't let her child play with mine anymore because she apparently found it offensive that my kids run around free and naked all summer. Breaks my heart...
And I aghree, that photo would make a great cover of a book! Just beautiful!
I'm assuming by you saying you're curious all the time, you were not also saying that you don't wear underpants all the time...there's no correlation there still is there? GREAT photo!
Of all the SPT photos I've looked at this week, this is by far my favorite! What a great photograph!
We have a three year old --she prefers the "no-pants" look too!
priceless.
wonderful reflection!
so nice to hold on to
the wonderment of childhood...
stellar picture!
sweet sentiments!
