just hanging out

aside from some fireworks, and an unpleasant episode with some thorns in the bottom of eliot's foot, things have been right on track for summer. hot dogs. lots of hot dogs lately. and lemonade. and ice cream. because really, why not? it was all i could do to muster dinner tonight. uh. hot dogs. yeah. and chips. oh and a freshly made smoothie. so that makes up for the other part. in my mind anyway. i can't stop eating peaches. i really can't. like two or three a day. pretty soon i'll be hiding in the closet again, because i'm not so good a sharing when it comes to peaches. at least i recognize my weaknesses.

in other non-produce related news, i've finally gotten some creative oomph back in my life. i've got two exciting collaborations in the works. like really good ones. with really talented ladies. don't worry, i'll tell you about it when i can. i've been working on a little something to commemorate my love of summer. that should be ready soon. and i've been thinking a lot about sewing. i know! i've got a few projects (a quilt!) that i am really looking forward to starting. just staring at my piles of fabric has been theraputic in a way. so yeah. that's that mattress man.
