drip drop splash
it's rainy and dreary here in kc, and for once, i'm ok with it. i got back a roll of film from my weekend away at a farmhouse and it was a dreary day there too. it didn't seem right to post these when the sun was blazing away. and i can't stop thinking about tea for some reason. i plan on having a cup as soon as i get home. my own little break. and i need one. tomorrow is may. MAY. i'm not quite sure how that happened, but it is gearing up to be a crazy month. things at work are shifting back to my old life. i've got lots of fieldwork on the horizon and it's a little scary trying to figure out how to make that work in conjunction with family, and david's job. time to buckle down i guess.

they are all nice (doh) but that third picture is really blowing my mind today. nice!! :)
yes, how is it may??! this year is rattling out of control, it's going so fast eh.
keep on keepin on...put your head down and get to it...but member to look up and see the pretty goings on round you.
an old life ain't so bad...that's where the foundation is...
the third picture is incredible...very symbolic of the 'two lives'--creative v. real work...enjoy and happy happy happy May 09...
i don't know how to tell you this without sounding like a complete freak, so here goes...
beth and i were best friends in high school and i discovered your blog a few years ago through hers, and i've since then been a silent lurker (i know, i'm one of those people!), thoroughly enjoying glimpses of your life through your witty words and your amazing photos.
so last night i had this dream that i met you. freaky, i know, isn't it? and while i remember almost nothing of the dream itself, i do remember laughter and good food were involved, which i have a feeling would both play a part if this dream were to become a reality.
anyway, had to share. i never thought a dream would be what it took to reveal myself as a blog lurker. :) but you can ask beth...i'm really not too scary (most days). :)
seriously, may??! WTF. but i'm ok with it, may is always a good month. i hope work etc. gets sorted out. field work sounds sort of fun, though - is it?
gorgeous! i was going to say i like one the most, but then i thought i liked another best and now i've decided they are all three amazing, especially together.
That third one is amazing!
wonderful series of photographs here. i especially love the stillness. gorgeous
