late summer
listening to cicadas, enjoying the late afternoon on the porch, eating the last of the cherry tomatoes straight off the plant, pulling on a cardigan after the sun goes down, turning off the attic fan because it's just a little too cool, but leaving the windows open nonetheless, daydreaming about tights and soup, waiting for the mayor of fall to usher in the change. late summer i will miss you, but i will savor every day you give me.

summer
evening.
ah...nice...sigh...
Your pics are amazing and such a good illustration of this time of the year.
In Paris, it feels as we skipped fall and are already in winter.
I have just loved this bit of late fall you've snapped up, and I will miss it too.
But don't you fear, I'm busy working on my ushering in plans! The vice mayor and I are going kick off the best season of 'em all in grand fashion. Just you wait and see!!! Fall is only days away...many proclamations of love and devotion for falling leaves, crisp morning air, all things squash, tights, pot pies, pumkin pie and the like are heading your way! xxoo
such rich, end-of-summer colors. your photos have me dreaming of autumn, though spring is on its way here. lovely.
