from the batcave...

huffmania managed to pull off a great evening of trick or treating. collette figured the whole system out right away and was straining at every porch light from the sidewalk. robin was swooping all over the place in her cape so it was really hard to get a good shot of her. eliots friend king richard came over to hit the streets with us. then we rounded out the evening with visits to the wieses and trisha shultzs house. we also snuck in a spur of the moment trip down to columbia to visit with our favorite eddys on saturday. it was fun to see them and do some costume sewing and pumpkin carving. you cant really beat two hours door to door. sadly no magic show for us. i think peter is done with entertaining for a bit. this spring maybe?

anyway, things i learned about sewing this weekend are:
1. my machine does not like pleather. sorry david...
2. i dont know how to make anything that needs to be curved.
3. i should just buy a pattern, instead of thinking, oh i can do it.
4. three year olds could care less what their costume looks like so it makes it all worth it.
5. start earlier. even if you think it is going to be easy. because it isnt.
6. who really cares, its dark on halloween night anyway!

anyway, enjoy the pics. and now i make the slow move to holiday ideas. any help kerry?

I can't take Robin! Can not take her!

Also, I have long suspected that the bat and King Richard were in cahoots. Here we have the evidence.

Finally, the comment about pleather could be taken several ways, and most of them make me feel dirty inside.

Batman and Robin -- too cute!!!!

Last year Henry and Alison went as Woody and Jesse. Two years before that? Woody and Jesse. Original stuff!

And my Allie has the same shoes as Collette! :)
