I am going to put aside my insane jealousy over the fact that you got to visit one of my favorite places EVAH to let you know that you have been served with a MAJAH award:

we have all sorts of those handwarmers here in japan and a lot of them come with adhesive. i particularly like the small ones shaped to go around toes inside of your shoes. if i had known you needed some, i would have sent some your way.
lovely pictures as always. - Jodi Anderson said...

beautiful photos! I agree that those around you are what life is all about. I am sure they feel the same about you!
I really like the perspective you give. It was just the right thing and wonderful photos combined.
So wonderful photos! Hope you enjoy out stealing horses, it's one of my favorites i think!
I could so dig into some chocolate macaroons right now...
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your blog. Your photos make me happy :)
agreed. you are lucky!
I hope this is a better week for you, and I hope youtell me where that macaron is from.
I'm pregnant.
Don't mess with me.
Surely those pigtails make up for half of it, anyway? And the macaroon, maybe another 18%...
such lovely photos. just "found" your blog and am really enjoying exploring your old posts. :)
here here. x
wel said hannah. well said.
Amen on the good people front. I was in New York last week, feeling all wanty with the beautiful shops I was going into, feeling all not-cool with the gorgeous people around me, feeling all sorts of wrong at times. But I was also really missing my husband and realized how wonderful it is to have people in your life who you long to be with, more than you could long for anything else. All of the silly feelings I was having faded away when I realized how lucky I am to have such awesome people in my life. Thanks for this post, a perfect reminder.
just stumbled across your blog. love the sentiment in this post. i can definitely empathize.

so true... and I absolutely heart the way you combine just the right words with just the right photos...
Ah, yes, I know just what you mean when you write that it is "who is in your life makes all the difference in the world".
love your photos
I read Out Stealing Horses earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Such a beautifully written story - even translated.
