i'm ready for a festival

filmfest-diversity-HiRes
no, i'm not talking about thanksgiving (but i am so ready for that). david has been working really hard, along with a whole group of other people, on putting together the Youth Film Fest KC! you can read more about it at filmsforyouth.org. i'm so proud of what they accomplish with at risk kids. we all know that when money is tight, programs get cut and the first ones to go are those that deal with the arts. the youth participating in this film festival not only had the opportunity to learn how to make a short film, but focused their films on such topics as equality and human rights by taking a cross cultural look at a subject they were not familiar with. a tall order for sure, but they jumped too it. come see for yourself.

i feel pretty

i make no bones about the fact that i love shoes. i also make no bones about the fact that my favorite place to get shoes is habitat. yes. i am fully biased, but what can i say? besides, the mcclains just had a freaking baby people (hello sweet edmund!). buy shoes! but don't worry, i promise not to be so bossy without giving you something in return. like some coupon codes. that's right, so you can shop online. because if you're the least like me, you would rather not leave your house again until it's sunny and 75. damn you winter. i digress. the codes people, the codes.

TODAY (Thursday) ONLY: HOLIDAY25
For 25% off all regular priced items online

Friday - Sunday: HOLIDAY15
For 15% off all regular priced items online

and if you happen to live in kansas city, and are feeling sassy, these same deals can be taken full advantage of in the store. i'll be up there on saturday lending a helping hand (and by that i mean running around taking pictures of shoes like an idiot) so come say howdy. and men, please don't feel left out, i mean please.

It is a new day. Thanks for sharing this video.

I was wondering if you could also share my research with people. Your blog is one of the noteworthy blogs at the minute which is most excellent.

I am currently working on my PhD in Australia. I need a fair number of participants for the study, and so far I haven't had an easy time getting participants. My final thesis length should be around 400 pages so I'm desperate to get participants now so I don't have to cram writing up the thesis into the last few months of the degree. I'm doing research on blogging and social networking, and was wondering if you could use your blog to alert people to my research? I've done previous research in the area which can be seen on my blogspot page.

The link to the study for bloggers is http://onlinesocialresearch.com/ and the survey takes 15-20 minutes to fill out.

Don't worry if you don't want to pass it on, but thanks if you do!

Cheers,

J.R.
